East Cumbria Tourism Network
Sedbergh hospitality businesses can now join the East Cumbria Tourism Network. Formally the Eden Tourism Network, the SEP has lobbied to allow Sedbergh businesses to become members (no fee) of this private sector led group. The ETN work to grow the local visitor economy and are assisted by WFC. Business support and grant advice are now freely accessible to all visitor-facing businesses in Sedbergh.

Sedbergh features at the heart of the launch of the new Westmorland and Furness Way walking route, which launches at the Black Bull Hotel on 15 September 2026. This features as part of the new Sedbergh Walking and Wellbeing Festival,
October sees the return of the Death in the Dales crime writing festival. This popular event helps promote Sedbergh as England's booktown.
