East Cumbria Tourism Network

Sedbergh hospitality businesses can now join the East Cumbria Tourism Network. Formally the Eden Tourism Network, the SEP has lobbied to allow Sedbergh businesses to become members (no fee) of this private sector led group. The ETN work to grow the local visitor economy and are assisted by WFC. Business support and grant advice are now freely accessible to all visitor-facing businesses in Sedbergh.

Tourism Plan

SEP have drafted a Tourism Strategy  with a project action plan. Sedbergh CiC, local businesses and other partners will be undertaking delivery of some of the proposed actions. If you would like to see the list of proposals please get in touch.

Main Street Action Group

Following the business survey on Main Street and Finkle Street, the an independent action group has been established, headed up by Henry at the Thirsty Rambler. Work is underway to improve visitor arrival points and produce shopping info leaflets - look out for the new signs!

Travel Information

Remember also that the West Coast Mainline closes for 2 weeks at new year for bridge replacement. Roads around Sedbergh could be affected at weekends, during the works.
