MP & Tourism Visit

Sedbergh recently hosted a visit from the local MP, Lizzi Collinge to talk about the need for more housing in Sedbergh to support local businesses, Main Street shopping and school roll numbers. (See meeting notes)

The CEO, Chair of Cumbria Tourism and Visit England director visited Sedbergh recently too. SEP have drafted a Sedbergh tourism plan in a move to open up funding support for the town.

Business Information Evening

SEP will host another informal business information event in January at the White Hart Sports and Social Club. The topic will be planning and we will be joined by the Chair of Planning at YDNP. What other topics would you like your Sedbergh Business Network to discuss? 

Main Street Action Group

Following the business survey on Main Street and Finkle Street, the an independent action group has been established, headed up by Henry at the Thirsty Rambler. They are targeting some quick wins. Do get in touch if you would like to be involved. The survey report is available here.  The group will also work to bring the former Udales building back into use.
